About Chophouse

Royal Flying Doctors Service

Royal Flying Doctors is CHOPHOUSE charity of choice for a number of reasons. Without assistance to our farmers, we would be unable to provide the quality products we provide our clients every day. Not only do RFDS help people from the country, they also provide aid to people from metropolitan areas. It is CHOPHOUSE contributing back to the farmers that help us.

RFDS relies heavily on fundraising & community support to keep them in the air. Your support will directly contribute to the purchase of new aircraft & life saving medical equipment. The concept is to add $1 per person to every bill – hopefully contributing to our target of $100,000 by the end of 2008.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is a not-for-profit organisation that provides vital aero-medical emergency services & an extensive range of preventative health care services across Australia. The RFDS crews are continually being called to retrieve patients in rural & regional communities who need our care, whilst they also fly regularly to remote outback locations to deliver a range of critical services which city people take for granted.

RFDS patients are not only from the bush. Every year RFDS assists thousands of people from Australia’s cities who have an urgent need for medical assistance when working or holidaying away from home.

The RFDS operate 50 aeroplanes across Australia & during 2007 they will fly over 20 million kilometres, make over 60,000 landings & have around 250,000 patient contacts – that’s a new patient every 2 minutes.
